Goddard The Shift is the book to read if you want to work out but do not have a lot of time. This book packs in a 10 minute workout that will help you lose weight and gain muscle mass. The book is broken up into three parts. The first part of the book covers the program which talks about the benefits, concepts, and structure of the routines. It also covers the Equipment you need. Part two goes over several different routines. Two baseline routines and two advanced. In this part of the book you will find that each routine is fully illustrated and the directions are easy to follow. And part three of the book shows you how to properly do each routine that is talked about in part two. Also, as with part two; part three is fully illustrated. This really is a great book.

However, I haven't found too many workout books that are for someone like me. I'm busy and hate the gym. The Shift offers a really great alternative to being a constant gym-goer.I have found it much easier to commit to 10 minutes a day with the Shift's workout plan. I've started with the baseline routine and already feel like I'm making progress!I really appreciate the info provided on the concepts - it helps everything make sense. And the info is laid out for me in an organized, easy to understand way. I think this book, coupled with eating right is going to make a huge difference in my life for the new year!

But that's kind of why I have hope for this one.Unlike other workout books, The Shift is organized into an easy to follow program of 10 minute routines. The book fully explains the routines, the concepts behind them, and they're illustrated. Best of all, these are routines I can fit into my already hectic schedule, as opposed to fitting things like my job and family time around a workout plan. Recommended for anyone who needs to get in better shape and doesn't have huge blocks of time to devote to it--you know, all of us.
