12 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Quick and easy crock pot recipes By mavaldellon Stewart has done it again with this book of 200 crock pot recipes. There are definitely some interesting recipes in this book - traditionally, I'm used to hearing crock pots being used to make stews and soups and such. Who knew I could make bread and various desserts too? How wonderful! My only issue? I was hoping that crock pot cooking with be cooking with just the single pot with a bit of prep work involved ahead of time to wash and chop foods. A few of the recipes included has you start cooking parts of the meals in a pan prior to their being placed in the crock pot for longer cooking. Maybe not a big deal for a lot of people but it stood out for me. Still, there are some very good recipes in this book!

Gray One of the best things my household decided on this year is the use of a crock pot. We all pitch in and eat together to save on food costs, something the four of us are very fastidious about. The only dilemma we found is that is sat there many times because we only knew a few standard recipes and grew bored of them quickly. I bought this recipe book a short time ago and, after trying a few of them out, my roommates and I are back to saving money again on dinner. Every time one of us makes a new recipe we all can’t wait to get home and share in the spoils. Given that none of us are very good cooks, it’s even more amazing that these dishes don’t require much skill and still turn out perfect every time. From Korean chicken with potatoes to stuffed peppers in red sauce, we’ve already gone through at least 15 recipes so far. Also on the weekends we’ve tried our hands at some of the delicious crock pot desserts as well; the old fashioned rice pudding was so good that two of us fought over what was left. Now that we have this cook book at our disposal, not only has our household enjoyed our dinners much more, but we’ve all saved a considerable amount of money in the process as well.

By TFLReader We were enamored with our crock pot when we first got it but quickly got a bit sick of eating the same chili and pot roast over and over again, so put it away in the back of the cabinet. We weren't aware of the possibilities available until picking up author Jamie Stewart's wonderful "Top 200 Crock Pot Recipes Cookbook". I have to say that our crock pot has been working non-stop making some of these amazing dishes, such as "Spiced Chicken with Couscous" and "Apple and Coconut Crisp". Recipes are well explained and simple to make and we loved the bonus pdf with photos.
