About the Author
After a near-death experience in Central America, the author returned with a passion to know God and that the Bible is true, which resulted in years of reading and research. A retired teacher and former speechwriter for the Kentucky Department of Education, Edwina Doyle is the author of numerous books. Inspiring Guide to a Path of True Happiness By Colorado The Wow of His Word is one of the most inspiring and interesting books I have ever read; it is definitely a must read for both believers and unbelievers. The true stories of martyrs, missionaries, and impassioned Christians who gave everything for their faith are amazing. Anecdotes about atheists who became believers after futile attempts to disprove Christianity and about the healing ministries of Americans Smith Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, and Kathryn Kuhlman were fascinating and faith building. The way the author weaves her personal search for happiness throughout the book is encouraging to the reader because Doyle speaks honestly from the heart about her experiences in going full circuit in her spiritual journey.Doyle's extensive reading and research are evident in the references she makes to famous American athletes like Tim Tebow and entertainers like Bono of U2, who have deep Christian faith; the miraculous work of contemporaries like Heidi Baker, Mel Tari, Bill Johnson, and others; examples of how God has sparked revivals throughout the world at critical times in history; how Western civilization was built on Christianity; and how all of our major holidays have a Christian base, even though our public schools ignore this. An interesting, engaging and rewarding read By Kellus Vanover “The Wow of His Word: God's Amazing Handbook for Happiness” was given to me as a gift from the author, who just happens to be my neighbor. I found it to be an interesting, engaging and rewarding read. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a better understanding of and appreciation for God’s Word as recorded in The Bible. In this book, the author opens a door into her own soul through which access to her deepening understanding of the truth and wisdom contained in The Bible can be gained. Written for the person on the street as well as in the pew, the book is thoroughly researched and theologically sound. It is filled with fact, frequent anecdote and insightful commentary. Through its pages march missionaries and martyrs, celebrities and statesmen, saints and sinners, devout believers and renowned atheists, and just plain ordinary people who, through contact with the Word of God, experienced God’s grace and as a result have had their lives transformed.

It will be a continuing resource for me. The book has helped to encourage me and guide me as I've poured through its pages. I have already shared many things I've read from the book with many friends. Also, the book gives lots of resources within its pages for further study on all the different topics presented: evidence for the Bible, Christian martyrs, Biblical facts, God's promises, summary of the books of the Bible and much more. You can't read it in one setting. If you want a book that will help you understand and love the Bible more, then this is the purpose of this book and it's what will help you!!
