By Elizabeth Pavlovna Green smoothies seem to be all the rage these days and with good reason, they are nutrient dense. Packed with vitamins and needed chemicals for our body's optimum performance, green smoothies give your metabolism a boost, promote clear skin complexions and help to keep bad cholesterol at bay. If you want to shed a pound or two, or even many, smoothies help you lose weight too!What I liked about this book, Green Smoothies is the conversational style that the author brings to her recipes, covering not only the benefits of green smoothies but also what mixtures of veggies and fruits work best together. I have started to add smoothies to our diet - still not daily, but working towards that - and find that I no longer get that sluggishness, especially in the afternoon. The recipes in this book are very good. I have tried several and using the author's suggestions even concocted a few of my own.I've bought Price's other books. She does not disappoint. Delivers great info and content each time. Recommended for all who want to improve their vibrancy and health.

By Gerry Marrs The Green Smoothie Diet: One Month of Green Smoothie Recipes to Recharge Your Health is an excellent read and brings you straight to the point about the positive health benefits of drinking green-based nutritional and delicious smoothies for better well-being. Previous smoothie aficionados focused more on high fruit and juice based drinks; however, this book illustrates how important green, chlorophyll rich smoothies are to our nutritional needs. They can provide even more benefits than supplements and basic dieting alone. The recipes are simple to make and absolutely delicious. I’m going to make these green smoothies part of my daily regimen for fitness and achieving a better, fiber-rich diet. I strongly recommend this book!

But this book gives you recipes that you can use that uses the whole portion of fruit and vegetables and you use your blender not an expensive juicer. I have loved the recipes I have tried and now my hubby drinks them too. I really appreciate how the benefits of the ingredients are explained. I see a difference in myself as far as having more energy. I also love how fast I can prepare them & clean up and go. I like the taste so much I look forward to drinking them.
