She has the St. Louis, Missouri area breathing its secrets onto your neck, chilling experiences from the old City Hospital back in the day. What really goes on behind the inner doors of a hospital? What are the doctors and nurses really like? In The Doctor's Tale, Dr. Thomas has to be physician, friend, and counselor to his dying patient, Lori. Lori's husband and her best friend don't help much - they're too busy in bed with each other.His colleague, Dr. Freeman, is an arrogant, narcissistic, prescription drug addict who is stealing the hospital blind. Nurse Mary is on to him, but she's busy saving lives, so Freeman is unchecked - for a while.Dr. Skelton, Thomas' mentor thinks he knows Thomas and pushes him - maybe too far?In the end, Thomas must choose - does he have what it takes to be a good doctor? Should he go on after his year as an intern or hang it up and pursue a different career?
