Gray As a serial dieter, I’m one of those individuals that have tried just about all the “weird tips” and “strange techniques” out there in order to find a means of keeping my weight off. I was referred to this book by an acquaintance and decided to give it a go. After digesting the material, I can say, for the first time since I can remember, that I’ve been given powerful and relevant information that is actually beneficial to my weight loss regime. This book is, first off, a healthy dose of in your face reality that doesn’t play to your emotions. From the beginning the author tells you like it is and I for one thank him for it.For the author to let me know about my own culpability in the matter of my weight and my indirect inability to blame the array of products that failed me was an eye opener. It helped me see that I need to look more at my own self moving forward. I have to be just totally transparent and honest with myself; something exciting and foreboding at the same time. After my initial understanding of myself, this guide jumps into steps that are broken down succinctly and with easy to consume teachings. Each step is filled with knowledge and tells you exactly what you need to do. I was especially intrigued by Tabata and the chapter on hormone regulation. These were insightful and applicable actions that have already changed my exercise and consumption activity for the better.In summation, I was so impressed with this book because it provided real-life insight and tools without any fluff or “neat trick” junk. The author holds nothing back, providing a healthy dose of reality in a democratic manner that worked perfectly for me. If you’re looking for a weight loss book that actually works without false gimmicks and cheap motivation, then I don’t know if you could do better than this one; it’s worked wonders for me.

I'm stuck already despite New Years Goals, so I needed a little bit of a kick and some new tools.This guide is perfect because it's focused on his book honing in on strategies and tools that are targeted to the habits I need to change to make permanent, progressive physical progress.I like that the author is direct and provided clear, easy to understand instruction that isn't laden with tricks and is grounded in medicine, science, physiology, and most importantly, the behavior modifications needed to make habits healthy.It's definitely challenging because after being given tools and information it requires self inquiry to implement the changes, and the book helps dissolve barriers to that process. The writing is clear and given in a step-by-step manner. If you are looking for real solutions to how to exercise, what to eat, and how to understand other factors like hormones and stress and how they add to the problem of belly fat, this is a good guide for you, too.

The book is, essentially, divided into 3 sections: one on getting the right mindset, one on building right habits for workouts, and finally, one on building right habits for eating. This book can be read from cover to cover (and I did), but for the most successful results, the author suggests adopting one habit at a time until they become part of your life. I took that tip into consideration and it was really unbelievable how life-changing it is!! I highly recommend this book for anyone who is tired of failing at their weight loss goals.
