Brant Being new to both Paleo and slow cooking, I wasn't sure if this book was right for me. Though, boy was I wrong.Jen did a great job getting me up to speed on exactly why both Paleo and Slow Cooking are a great combo. She doesn't assume anything as she lays out where the Paleo diet came from and also why you should definitely consider it as a great option for anyone looking to lose weight and do it in a healthier way.I really like how Jen doesn't seem to just stick with dinner or a specific meal of the day. Rather, she divides the book into breakfast, appetizers, lunch and dinner recipes.What I love best is that her recipes are easy to follow and she includes pictures. Usually, being a novice myself at cooking, I don't know if the end result is right. With these high quality photos included in the book, I was easily able to see how close I got to each recipe.Surprisingly enough for a beginner like myself, I was able to follow these recipes! I think it has a lot to do with the time she took in clearly breaking down each recipe into an easy to follow set of instructions. She doesn't use lots of fancy / hard to understand cooking terms, but keeps it straight forward. This really helps when I am just learning the ropes.Overall, this book really surprised me. I wasn't sure what to expect but was completely enthusiastic to find how easily accessible both Paleo and slow cooking can be with Jen's help. I think after trying this book, I will definitely want to check out Jen's Keto and vegetarian book as well.

By Mike C Very tasty and easy to make Paleo Recipes in your Slow Cooker! I was very impressed with the amount of healthy and yummy recipes that was provided in this book. Just reading through the recipes, and looking at the pics of the dishes the author provides has my mouth watering and eager to try Alot of these recipes out! It was a very easy to read book, and the steps to make the recipes were extremely clear, so its hard to mess anything up. A big thumbs up to the author for providing an excellent resource for cooking Paleo dishes!

I liked how the author introduced this type of diet, also briefly explained the benefits of paleo and slow cooking. Also gave the readers the mental preparation in trying this kind of diet. This book listed recipes for a complete meal. The ingredients were just simple and not hard to find. The methods, as well, were simple. Even better, some of the dishes had pictures, too.
