About the Author Britney Rule is a mother with four very picky children. She holds a BA in English with a minor in editing. She is the coauthor of Grain Crazy and the author of the popular blog with the same name. She resides in Utah. Cherie Schetselaar has a passion for superfood. Anything nutrient-rich superfoods like quinoa and chia seeds can be used for, you better bet Cherie has tried it. From breakfast cereals to dinner dishes to desserts, she is the expert at incorporating the good-for-you ingredients. She "healthifies" her cooking with healthy fats, cuts down on sugar, and doesn't use processed foods. Cherie is a fabulous cook and the mother of seven children. I'd never tried quinoa before but really want my family to start eating this super healthy, awesome seed. All the recipes look fantastic and my 16 month old gobbled up the quinoa biscuits we tried the other day. We had a friend over for dinner who is gluten free and she loved the biscuits, too (so did her gluten-eating boyfriend haha!). We've also tried her quinoa oatmeal with strawberries and bananas, which was delicious. Can't wait to try more! I feel great feeding my little growing boy such healthy, delicious food.

By Nina I started using quinoa earlier this year and bought this cookbook to find more recipes to try. It has quinoa ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoy using quinoa in place of pasta so this book was a fun way to try some new things with it.

Every recipe has beautiful large colored pictures to inspire cooking, and let you know visually what the result is. I really like using quinoa for its nutritional value so this book is very helpful. There are recipes for healthy snacks, breakfasts, entrees, and more. So far my favorite entrée is quinoa enchiladas. It's delicious and tasty. I may make it with white quinoa instead of red next time. The red threw off my hubby. He isn't a great experimenter. He liked the taste though. Another great contribution to help me get out of a rut and eat healthier.
