Fascinating take on cuisine By PA I've always thought that raw food was either the uncooked kind or what they serve in Japanese restaurants, so this book was quite helpful in proving examples of what raw cuisine is like. There are interesting and relatively "out there" recipes throughout this cookbook (smoked raw chili, anyone?), but it could use some pictures for guidance.

Consuming raw food, according to the book, would merit our bodies a greater source of vitamins and nutrients coming from the purest form of these ingredients. However, to reap the benefits of this diet, one must sustain its practice for a considerable amount of time. It may not be my most preferred diet, however, it's refreshing to try a new method of losing weight and getting the right amount of nutrients for our bodies. 5-star for this book.

By Marty The only raw food cuisine that I know of are salads and of course the Japanese sushi and sashimi, that’s why when I saw this book I got interested. To my surprise, I found the recipes in this book, maybe not nearly as exotic as I earlier expected, but all very simple and doable. Of course there are those that sound exotic such as a Ceviche Peruano or Raw Phad Thai, but most of the recipes here are familiar yet, prepared uniquely to preserve the health qualities of the food.
