0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Something for every outdoorsman! By Alan Schmierer "Shoot'n ain't the same as Hunt'n" sort of sums up the book. It is mostly about bow hunting, but also much more. It is informative, engaging, sometimes philosophical and is richly interspersed with light-hearted humor and even poetry. It is presented in a way to make one feel that you are sitting around a campfire with someone to whom you know that you should listen, and listen well. And the lessons apply not just to bow hunters but to all of us who wander the outdoors with or without bows, rifles, fishing poles, cameras, and the like. A worthwhile read, AND 100% of the profits go to The Fisher House Foundation, helping families of seriously wounded soldiers!

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Read it! By Carl P. Brickey This is probably one of the most entertaining yet informative books I've ever had the pleasure of reading. The stories are entertaining, but they always have a lesson intertwined somewhere. Ashby is a very intelligent man, and his testing and studies for bow hunting and arrow lethality are phenomenal. You won't find as much technical jargon in this book though, it's more about the how and why without being too heady.
