About the Author Ian Riccaboni has covered the Phillies for Phillies Nation and Phillies Nation TV since 2011. Riccaboni has been a life-long Phillies fan since his birth in Allentown, PA, where he was a bat boy for the Northern League's Allentown Ambassadors and played for Salisbury High School. Before becoming a contributor on Phillies Nation TV, Ian made his cable debut on an MTV special featuring Bill Gates and was later featured in an MTV-U Best Music on Campus profile for his performance on guitar and harmonica. Ian is a graduate of New York University and the University of Pennsylvania. He lists his broadcast journalism career highlights as interviews with NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, TV's Marc Summers, and Governor Jesse Ventura. Also a lifelong professional wrestling fan, Ian can be heard on Ring of Honor Wrestling as part of the broadcast team for Future of Honor.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. My favorite book about the baseball! By Tim Hughes Before this book, I had no idea that the Phillies even had 100 great players. After binge reading "The Hundred Greatest Phillies" by Ian Riccaboni I am convinced that despite currently being in a battle for the basement of the NL East, they are the most storied franchise that the baseball world has ever seen. Based on a super complicated mathematical formula, Ian ranked the greatest Philadelphia Phillies from 100 all the way to 1 and I think you'll be as shocked as I was when I got to the end of the book(No spoilers). I was really excited to see where my favorite Phillie (or would it be Philly), Desi Relaford would fare against all the other greats. In closing, would I recommend this book? Of course, it's a great gift as the Halladay (see what I did there) season is fast approaching! I personally guarantee your satisfaction with this book or Ian will give you your money back.

Of course I didn't agree with the placement of every one of the Phillies on the list, and probably would've replaced some with some other personal favorites, Riccaboni's writing was pretty thorough and convincing. I would enjoy having a debate with this guy for sure! Side note, his interviews were also really good and I recommend any Philly sports fan check this out.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Fantastically done By Michael Messbauer I'm not a Phillies fan but as a baseball fan I saw this book recommended and decided to give it a read. In an era of buzzfeed lists I had completely forgotten what it was like to see effort and care put into crafting a list. I sincerely hope the author continues beyond just one team and does this for the entire league. Worthwhile for all baseball fans but a must have for any and all Phillies fans.
